Russian Plane Crash in Egypt

Close to 230 dead.

Such a tragedy

Yeah it's a big shame. The description given about the crash landing was really sad. The worrying thing for me is is my Dad is on holiday in the exact same area that they were in Sharm El Sheikh so now I'm 10x worried. Hopefully he gets back fine.

My heart goes out to the dead and their families.

Live feed from the BBC here on the situation.

Terrible tragedy. So far there don't seem to be any answers for why it crashed, but no one's thinking it was shot down and most seem to think it was the airline's fault.

Despite how astronomically rare plane crashes are, it still always scares me when I fly.

It's really good there is no "it was shot down theory's."

With the buildup of troops in the Middle East it would not take much to engulf the area in another widespread war.

I hate airplanes.

ISIS claiming resonsibility

This is why I do not fly and have not been on a plane since I was 8. It really does seem like even though a plane crash is rare..whenever we hear about commercial airplanes crashing in the news there are usually at least some casualties involved, with a decent amount of the time there being no actual survivors.

If I need to go somewhere I'll drive or take a train.

ISIS claiming resonsibility

The question is did they truly do it or are they just trying to claim responsibility for a tragedy?

Russia's saying there is no way ISIS had the means to shoot down a plane travelling that fast and at that altitude. (heard on news radio)

If Obama choked to death on a piece of broccoli, ISIS would claim responsibility.

Obama is the ISIS leader. So I dunno.

Guess it was ISIS

So does this mean we need to give them more money?

Sure, blame the Muslims. That's what you always do. We're all terrorists blablabla.

Have you even thought about how Israel does stuff like this all the time?

It was known in the middle-east that this was terrorism the day it happened.

No, not all muslim's are terrorists, a game is afoot and most people are pawns. It is a game of class and misinformation. It is becoming more important to the ruling elite/elites everywhere as we head towards "the crisis" point. This is a crisis of resources and will lead to a complete breakdown of the present structures as they are defined now. The elite are putting themselves in a position where they will survive and win.

A few points to consider, the "war" in Iraq was illegal and destabilised a region. The arab spring may have been in relation to activities by the west in Libya etc. illegal and meant to destabilise a region, perhaps through fear of an African currency based on the gold standard, which would have destabilised the markets. The endgame who can say? A cheap, strong and obedient workforce for the rich everywhere? The move of Policing to protection of property, rather than rights for people and the obvious surveillance state etc. Who can truly see what the final goal is?

While true, it's looking like it could have been ISIS via bomb planted on the plane instead of the plane being shot down.

And Putin is denying it because it makes Russia look unprepared and weak.

That plus the added benefit of serving as a recruitment tool for ISIS.

This is pretty significant if it was a bomb. If memory serves, this would be the first time that terrorists brought down a plane since 9/11. It would also demonstrate once and for all that ISIS has taken Al Qaeda's mantle as premiere terrorist organization.
