A Quicksliver X-Men DOFP question...I know but bear with me.

In that the most famous and best scene from the movie, where QS is in the Pentagon Prison Kitchen. Where he is super speed saving the day. He is shown to have on some kind of portable music player. Now this took place in the early mid 70's. Pre Walkman and digital players. So I have to wonder this....Where did he find a music player, that was portable enough to carry, that could play music fast enough for him to hear it will blitzing around at super speed?
