No. Slap that guy for being stupid. The Klingon's picked a fight with the Feds in order to unite the separate warring houses. We learn this in ep1

Yeah, I didn't know if they ended up doing anything to overstep their bounds after the first ep. Seems it is just Klingons being Klingons.
I think it was Dax on DS9 that gave a pretty accurate description of the Klingons.
thought it was good, but yeah, not as good as ep4.
After this episode it's imo that Saru is more of a loose canon wildcard than Michael. Seems like that guy will straight up murder someone if it would benefit him. I don't know if his species has a heart, but he sure as hell doesn't listen to it.
funny thing is that i never got the impression that Stamets was gay until the part where Saru asked him if he would follow orders and the doctor guy looked at him with disappointment when he said yes... i was like, are they fcking? I laughed when it turned out they were a couple.

No wonder Saru can't even begin to understand why Michael did what she did, much less forgive her. Have to have principles outside of "Do what you're told" to relate to someone taking a stand on principles.
The way Captain Lorca operates, it makes you wonder if Saru's seeming willingness to execute widows and orphans if he felt it was necesssry to a mission is why he chose him as his first officer.
