So it's not me buying into some liberal government story. About the only narrative I bought into was the conservative one when I young enough to be stupid enough to vote for Bush Jr.

I do take the time to do research. For instance when I talk about welfare I do research to actually understand what is happening. The facts lead me to a very different conclusion than your conservative narrative on the topic. Same thing for the death penalty discussions, police brutality, immigration, and climate change.
And in the context of this case I was pretty clear. The question was biased for the type test they were giving to the students. That it could have put the students in an awkward situation.
Although God being used in a debate on the topics of what is Fact vs Belief would be suitable. And perhaps even this grade level of students should be exposed to that topic.
