Planets in wars

After reading Battlefront and comparing it to other books, it always seems that during the Galactic Civil War or the Clone Wars, nobody seems to attack the same planet twice; aside from Sullust. Its like they are constantly generating new worlds instead of keeping key worlds that have multiple battles on them. Why is that.

In the Clone Wars Felucia was attacked multiple times, Geonosis twice, and Mon Calamari twice as well (I believe). So there were definitely instances where there were campaigns on the same planet more than once, at least during the Clone Wars. Don't know about the GCW.

Someone's never read the republic comics or seen TCW.
