I know and I'm going to either respond to it tonight or tomorrow after work.

More than powerful enough to beat Khan.

You wish.

I'm sure the Khan threads begging for my attention after episode 7 hits will be in full force.

You mean your trolling?

If by trolling you mean citing evidence to back your claims then your definition is kind of odd.

Ridiculous and fanboyish.

Abrams has a very different view of OT force wielders than the people on this forum. He views them as unpracticed, clunky and deficient. So I don't expect too much out of Luke, Kylo or ANYBODY. The mere fact that Finn, a non-force wielder, is able to give Kylo Ren a hard time (per the leaked synopsis) in their duel is indicative of nobody being worth much.

Huh? I thought he said almost the opposite. That it's the OT duelists who he thinks were good.

I was mistaken. He doesn't quite call them unpracticed or deficient.

When you look at Star Wars and Empire, they are very different lightsaber battles, but for me they felt more powerful because they were not quite as slick. I was hoping to go for something much more primitive, aggressive and rougher, a throwback to the kind of heart-stopping lightsaber fights I remembered being so enthralled by as a kid." Still, the words primitive and rough make me wonder. 😕

I think it's more a grittier vs flashier type thing rather than a skill comparison.

Well . . . if the leaked synopses is true . . . you're in for a HUGE disappointment.

:/....It better not be. I really, REALLY hope Star Wars isn't gonna turn lightsabers into a generic blade.

I use the term generic in the sense that, anyone could just pick it up and start fighting with it. NO!

What I liked about the lightsaber, was that it was a Force User only weapon and it was completely different than a regular blade that it needed specific fighting and requirements to fully utilize it's effectiveness.

Otherwise...if they make it just like a regular blade that can cut through stuff...that's really disappointing and cheap.

Do not doubt Abrams.

The word "Powerful" is what caught my eye.

You think powerful means a lot more than it actually does though.

Finn damn well better be Force Sensitive to make a "heartstopping duel."

I hope so.

You guys shouldn't worry at all. Abrams will deliver.
