Apollo Creed vs Ivan Drago

Rocky 4 Apollo was old, and lost a step... literally. He tripped over his own feet at the fights start.

Creed at his peak here. (Or as close as we've seen, unless anyone wants to argue for a 20 something Creed we've never seen. 🙂 )

Who wins?

Drago stills wins.

Drago would have killed Rocky if Rocky wasn't the main character.

Apollo has better technique but physically Drago is too damn much, even Rocky ended up brain damaged after that fight.

Drago is effectively better Clubber Lang, and Clubber was > Apollo.

Brain damage thing got retconned, afaik.

Still, Drago is just too much.

Creeds the only guy who beat Rocky twice. I'd say Rocky II was the worst beating he ever had.

The thing is, Creed was old when Rocky started. Mid 30 something, near the end of his career. Like Balboa said in the new movie, when asked how he beat him if he thinks he's so good: "Age got him."

Odds are, a prime Creed (Pre Rocky series) DESTROYS a prime Rocky.

Rocky III rematch - off-screen and it was heavily implied that Rocky won.
