70,000 Clerics issue fatwa against Islamic State organizations
Interesting. Wondering what effect it will have, as it's still the governments of the countries that these religious leaders are in who decided what consequences IS groups will face. Seems like this should have happened sooner, though I know some issued statements that they were against them early on.

Not too much effect- Daesh/Isis already views Muslims who don't follow their creed as enemies, and those likely to listen are already opposed.
That said, it may be a moral boost for those fighting against Daesh.
