Trying to understand
Honestly, I thought of the idea of 2 matrix's and ITS STUPID... too easy of an explanation for such complex and orignal plot. I dont think the W bro's would do that.
But how does neo stop that damn medusa in the real world? IF in fact the real world is still part of the matrix, wouldn't neo be able to read code? EVeryone keeps talking about the link between Neo and Smith, but could it be possible that Smith jsut sabatoged the other ship and he was the only survivor??Coincidence? haha is there such thing as coincidence in this movie?? my head hurts......
ARGH! (Rips hair out) Why don’t people read the thread they post in?!?!??!
VenomVA> No, the EMP did not knock Bane out. In EtM you see him crawl down a ladder after killing the crew of his ship (or knocking them unconscious). An EMP does no harm to humans. A brain works through ELECTRO-chemical signals. Those signals can be reprogrammed (like when you learn a new thing). Smith merely copied part of himself ONTO the Electro-chemical signals. Easy as that (for the giga-zillionth time).
Korri> Prove your statement!
Jophani> Not to mention another fact: You do not introduce such a major storyteller twist in a conclusion. It would be like introducing Aragorn in “Return of the King”. Or the Ring. The conflict between real and virtual is one of the many themes of The Matrix, its a core essence. Real choice, virtual choice. Real freedom, virtual freedom.
Of course Bane-Smith meant to survive and sabotage the rebels attempt at stopping the sentinels. The real question is WHY?
I agree with the peeps who say "There is no MATRIX WITHIN THE MATRIX" But that it is ALL ONE MATRIX. So there is just ONE matrix, and Zion is apart of it. Not in its own seperate Matrix. This is done because we humans need choice, even if we are only aware of it on the unconscious level to operate. I think, and this is my speculation, the first matrix lacked purpose, because it was perfect. The second lacked choice until the MOTHER fixed that.

That is STILL a Matrix within a Matrix, Gabirel. Whether it is part of the same system or not, it is irrelevant- at some point there is a virtual Matrix inside a Matrix if you believe that theory.
No. It's not irrelevant. If Zion was a separate matrix then it would be a matrix within a matrix (ok, so that was redundant). In a sense it is a matrix within a matrix, but that is if you look at it abstractly. However my original point is that I agree with the people who say that it's all just one matrix.
now before you reply, don't get frustrated. Sit down, read it carefully, and try to understand what I am saying. It makes sense just take your time, relapse...
I understand what you are saying just fine, but it is still irrelevant. If you are saying the world that Zion in is false, there is still a Matrix inside that false world. So no matter WHAT, there is a Matrix inside a Matrix whether they are all part of the same system or not.
This is, meanwhile, a total irrelevance to the main question of the thread which is whether Zion is real or not so unless you have some more insight there, no need to clutter this thread further.
Ok. If there really is a Matrix within a Matrix, then why is it necessary for the sentinals to destroy Zion?
As far as Neo stopping the sentinels...He either picked up machine coding from Smith when he attempted to copy himself to Neo, or from the Architect. What I would like to know, from anyone who does not believe the Matrix within a Matrix theory, is does anyone have any ideas why Neo fell into a coma after he stopped the sentinels?
The Bane guy clearly has similar abilities to Neo now that his mind has been overwritten by Smith. As you can see the final war type thing which I assume is between them in the Revolutions trailer.
The Bane guy was also attacked by sentinals with many people around him, he most likely stopped them in an identical way that Neo stopped them, and also fell into a coma. I just do not understand the coma, does anyone have any ideas?

Well if you read my Revolutions All Spoilers Topic many things might you understand after you read it, also dont forget that Neo is'nt the One...think of it this way...say you talk to a blind person, you say that there is a car in front of him but in all actuallity there is'nt, your lying to him, he believes you, you tell him to touch the car...he touches what he thinks is a car but is actually a mail box, he believes he is touching the car. Same with Neo, he believes he is the One, so he is so confident that he does'nt ever doubt himself, that would explain partially why he is able to do things others can't even though he is'nt the One. If your confident with your abitlites you can overcome greater obstacles. Does that help?
