Sirak only beat Bane when Bane had similar issues involving his connection to the force as Kylo (being unable to draw on the dark side). He isn't impressive as a duelist at all other than his reputation as being a great trainee. Kylo has much better force feats and a much stronger connection to the force.

Being able to duel with Bane not too long before Bane was able to keep up with Kas'im is better then any dueling feats Ren has.

No offense to DMB but I'd put Trebor above Sirak.
Ehhh... the people in Sirek's academy should still have plenty good sword training (live opponents, part of a war), and rough, basic, but complete force training. And Sirak was still someone of high force potential.
I think that, while it is one of the only eras where one can point to and say, 'yea, on average they were weaker,' they still get underrated. People can still get pretty strong even without higher level training.

By default, Sirak has better saber feats than Kylo.
Kylo has better TK feats. Both were highly regarded by their superiors.
I would give Sirak the edge here.
And their superiors considered even the level of the average, sub-Sirek students to be pretty solid.
Their training was pretty complete when the duel happened.
