Why do people put the God of War series on such a high level? That verse is weak as shit.
Kratos loses to Hulk though.

Atlas lifted the ****ing Earth, same size, and all, for THOUSANDS OF YEARS.
****in Superman couldn't pull that off.
Originally posted by HulkIsHulkHe definitely did lift it, because it clearly says so in the lore of God of War.
Well, he is similar in size to the world itself, and he didn't carry it for thousands of years in God of War. It was supported by the Pillar of World for thousands of year, and when Atlas damaged it using the power of Helios, Kratos chained him to the pillar to support it on his back. He hell as sure didn't lift it, and is being chained to it on the structure that supported the planet for centuries, so the feat is in suspect, and does not even come close to what you said. You continue your style of either being ignorant or twisting things to support your stance. And superman did carry the weight of the planet for five days.
Atlas is pretty strong though, he ripped off a part of a mountain and threw it at Hades when he attacked another Titan
Its canon that Atlas lifted the entire Earth for at least a prolonged period of time, stop making shit up, dude.

1. it already stated if the pillar of world destroyed, the human world wil fall down.
2. based on mount olympus height,(According to the God of War 2 book guide, if someone were to fall from top of Mount Olympus, it would take three days for them to land on Earth.)
gow earth amotsfer should much bigger than our earth. which means , this feat become even more impressive for atlas.
3. anyway kratos already beat hades by himself, hades is the god who capable overpowering cronos and developer said cronos and atlas are pretty much equal.
need more info ? just ask to me.

Sorry if sound mean or rude saying this, but that is the most harebrained assumption I've ever seen, especially since its based on a guide book and not the game, let alone considering that just because one mountain is several times bigger that dones't mean the planet is proportionally large as wellThe developer said it, not shown the in the games. Hades defeated them with Zeus' help, and the soul removing blades. Kratos overpowered him in the gameplay
-? It's canon. Confirmed it with a dev as well. And there are feats with the games that demonstrate its height to be of that magnitude. And yes, it does. The mountain fits within God of War's atmosphere, and is orders of magnitudes bigger than other mountains. Thus GoW's atmosphere is huge, which despite not being tangible, does add weight to a world.
-Irrelevant comment, games can't show everything about a universe. That's why supplementary material exist. For any fiction. Regardless the games did show it. Hades was bringing Cronos to his knees by yanking on him with the chains. Zeus did not help, you are confused. Poseidon zapped Atlas from behind, and then Hades swung Atlas' shoulders around to him by yanking on him with the chains.
While Hades was seemingly fighting Cronos alone and doubled teamed Atlas with Poseidon, the fight with Cronos had gone on longer than the cutscene showed, since when it started they were already in conflict, so some stuff off-screen happened that we don't see. Even still, Hades was taking a while to drain Cronos' soul, and he drained Atlas' soul much quicker. Though technically one guy got double teamed and the other guy seemingly didn't, the guy that got double teamed also lost the fight much quicker, so we were left wondering how exactly Cronos and Atlas compared.
So it was clarified:
Dev statement has Atlas and Cronos on equal footing.
Yes, Kratos did overpower Hades in the gameplay, and he overpowered Cronos' arms as well.
*revamped respect thread is still coming for anyone still wondering. I had a few setbacks but its making great progress now
