She also got mauled by Chewie and thrown into a trash compactor. Also if she was the best Trooper, then she wouldn't have just lowered the shields to the base and allowed it to be destroyed. I guess she's not as loyal as the FO wants their troopers to be.

She's Kylo Ren's eye candy and more...that's about it.

I think she figured the attempt would fail anyway. Though I do wonder if, being an officer, she has a different origin.

Coming back I hope she does something that isn't pitiful, I don't want the EU to turn her character 180 and I'm suppose to expect that they are the same character like Boba Fett was done in.
