Halloween Returns cancelled as Dimension Films lost the rights to the series

Personally I think any step away from Dimension and the Weinsteins is a step in the right direction for the franchise. I'd kind of like for New Line to pick up the franchise as long as Platinum Dunes doesn't get their mitts on it for yet another mediocre remake. Hell if New Line had them they would have all of the big 3 under one roof, and end the next Halloween with a post credits scene with Samuel L Jackson telling Michael about the Slashvengers Initiative. 😛

Here is to hoping that the Asylum gets the rights.

The last two Halloween films were pure shit.

I the first remake was ok. yeah, there was no need for another back-story installment.

I liked Carpenter's original idea for a anthology series of horror movies.

They need to return to the original film series not the abomination Zombie crafted.
