Snoke's Interest in Rey

Weakened, he reached out toward his lightsaber, trying to draw it to him.

One downward cut, she saw. One quick, final strike, and she could kill him. The landing lights of a shuttle appeared in the distance, coming over the trees in her direction. She had to make a decision, now.

Kill him, a voice inside her head said. It was amorphous, unidentifiable, raw. Pure vengeful emotion. So easy, she told herself. So quick.

She recoiled from it. From the dark side.

According to www.movieweb.com, the audiodrama reveals this voice is Snoke himself.

This makes me only further believe she's the daughter of Skywalker given the resemblance to the Palpatine scene.

People still question this? From the script, that Disney promptly took down:

"Older now, white hair, bearded. He looks at Rey. A kindness in his eyes, but there's something tortured, too. He doesn't need to ask her who she is, or what she's doing here. His look says it all".

Come on, people.

Based on how unoriginal TFA was its going to be another Palpatine moment where Snoke is going to try and replace Kylo with Rey and he's going to fail and she is either going to kill him or Luke is or even Kylo.

I could see Rey turning to the dark side, not all movies need to have happy endings. I mean Luke was suppose to fall to the darkside at ROTJ, but that was changed so who knows...they might go for it this time with Rey...or Luke.

lmfao ^

Not sure why you're laughing Ant, when that was one of the ideas presented. So it's plausible that they could go this route with the newer movies.

This just in, Disney is a bunch of misogynists who turn the first female Star Wars lead ever evil, she and Kylo both die childless, ending the Skywalker bloodline and any chance of making more money off this. Disney hates women, family, and your money. More at 11.

In other words, it'd be ****tarded to end this trilogy that way.

Who says it has to be Rey turned Evil Fresh? Could be Luke since Hamil has still expressed interest in being evil. To quote Yoda

"Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny."

Where we see Luke having dark tendencies, the dark clothing, Force choke, giving into his rage and overwhelming Vader.

Heck he literally threatened Jabba with death twice, saying he was going to kill him.

"Never the less, I'm taking Captain Solo and his friends. You can either profit by this, or be destroyed. It's your choice, but I warn you not to underestimate my powers."

"Jabba this is your last chance. Free us or die."

Heck in that same scene with the 1st bit of dialogue, he Force pulled a blaster and was going to shoot Jabba.

Making a female character evil doesn't make you misogynist.

You're not too bright. It doesn't matter if it actually is misogynistic or not. The fact that it will be seen that way by a very vocal minority is what matters.

Because he was flatout said to be an "untouchable soul." It's a little late to turn Luke and makes no sense from a story standpoint. I mean, it's possible, but it probably won't happen.

/Shrug

We shall see, true it's a less likely outcome but it's still on the table.

No.

It would be pointless for Luke to turn to the Dark Side.
His test on on the second Death Star and he passed it.

I think it would be kind of cool for Rey to fall temporarily though.

I don't know if Rey has enough personality to turn to the dark side. The way she's been written thus far, her motivations and pathos are the murkiest of the main characters'. She seems more akin to Obi-Wan than Anakin or Luke.

Rey is just a sad product of the Politically Correct Strong Independent Female Syndrome. She was pretty much a piece of wood in the movie but hey at least she is hot.

wut

They do when they're made by Disney.

Beg your pardon but so what? Jedi have always been willing to kill if need be. Plus, as that same dialogue shows, he tried repeatedly to reason with Jabba.

LOL. It always makes me laugh when guys are scared of a woman because she isn't weak or helpless. Grow some backbone.

And that response is pretty much cu and pasted from the PC Stereotype Response book.

All I can recall of Rey's personality is that she was always Angry. Which lead to her being Boring. Her only little moment of near whimsy was when she put on the old X-wing helmet.
