This might be a silly question, but were these women ever actually part of the army? Officially a part of it, I mean. If so then yeah it is a weird thing to do. I realize there is limited space, but why not just establish multiple cemeteries? Assuming they haven't done that already.
Since the article implies none of them ever actually fought in combat. So yeah I could see why they don't allow them if that is true.
I hate to say this..but those who fought in combat are more deserving of those burial plots IMO. Especially given the limited amount of space.
