Caedus has a major advantage in dueling, and force potential. And he studied just about every bit of force knowledge he could find, so I would solidly bet he can handle sorcery well enough for his other advantages to tell.

Thanaton is supremely powerful. Caedus isn't. Thanaton wins.

Thanaton shits himself for sabers. Force he roflstomps. All out Probus Thanaton. Most knowledge of the Ancient Sith was lost after the fall of the Galactic Empire, and I doubt that Caedus found anything to compare to Thanaton.
