Why on God's green Earth would Maul be more powerful than Vader for any reason?
Originally posted by FreshestSliceDepends what the 'study material' is, really. After all, Maul had already received over two decades of extensive training from Palpatine himself by the time TPM rolled around, and he only became more powerful during TCW/SoD. That said, he already had a great 'base' on which to build.
Are you people ****tarded? Being in isolation isn't better than being actively trained.
So if he's been in a Sith Temple for ~two decades, furthering his knowledge of the dark side from Sith Holocrons/text and whatnot, then he *should* have boosted his already considerable power immensely in that time.
I still say Vader pushes his shit in, though. 👆
^ My point is simply that you do not need to have a Master actively training you your entire life for your power/knowledge to continue growing by leaps and bounds.
Not saying self-study is a preferred, and/or better method of training. Just saying that, given Maul's starting point, I can understand where some of the hype is coming from. A guy who already rivaled Dooku, presumably doing nothing but training for nigh-20 years, *should* be an absolute beast.
Just imagine the outrage if/when Vader beats him. g007_teehee
