You're ignoring that darkseid was going easy on him. He also knows exactly how durable a human is. And lol at him being fine and dandy. Barda outright said that he had multiple fractured and broken bones.
😕 I still fail to see how that's impressive. Darkseid's omega beams are plot devices in and of themselves. If darkseid wanted him to make it to the past uninjured, then he could do it.
When they first met. I think it was just after Doomsday took all the JL's energy blasts. Superman was like NOPE NOPE NOPE, because Doomsday was just so strong.
So Superman tried to BFR the monster, but DD turned and slammed his elbow-claw in Superman's face. I think Superman remarked that the thing was almost as fast as him.
