Back in April 2014, the city of Flint switched to the Flint River as their primary source of tap water. People complained that it looked, smelled, and tasted differently. Studies in early 2015 found out that the water from the Flint River is highly corrosive, causing lead from the water pipes to leak to the water supply. It is estimated about 6000-12000 people were poisoned by drinking the contaminated tap water.

Let me guess the democrats caused this.

Only question is how long until Michael Moore does a movie about it.

Gov. Rick Snyder is a Republican. Bernie Sanders called him out to resign for letting this incident go out of hand.

Dayne Walling was the mayor of Flint. Democrat

The switch to the toxic Flint river water was state mandated. Tells me it was more of a Governor thing than the Mayor's.

And as for Ricky Snyder. The PEOPLE of MICHIGAN voted him in. So anything he does or did. YOU PUT HIM THERE! So its YOUR FAULT!

And it as a Democrat Gov in charge before him. Mark Schauer. River was polluted then. Why didn't HE Clean it up?

I would blame the fact that the state of Mich has been polluting its water for decades. Happened under both Dems and Reps. So everybody get a brita and SHUT DA FUG UP BOUT ID!

You'd do that because you're stupid. The water being polluted beforehand is irrelevant because the polluted water wouldn't even be an issue if the governor and his administration hadn't haphazardly decided to make it the county's water-supply. All it would have taken to avoid this incident is for them to have just thoroughly tested the water before feeding it to their population. That would have been the difference between "oh, the river is dirty- we should probably try to clean it up at some point" versus "oh, the river is dirty- we should probably try to clean it up at some point... and also we've just poisoned tons of people".

So, Disani and Polar don't do business in, flint?

Detroit's water was too expensive for flint and thus the city did something massively stupid... Collect more taxes and un-*uck the situation.

Because a well known Republican supporter on this site started out by presuming (allegedly for humor, though it is in line with other serious claims previously) that a Democrat is at fault for this. People then explained that that is not the case, and another Republican supporter took offense and started to attack liberals as biased for explaining the situation. Now you should be caught up.

Where was the EPA on this one?
