Saying 'speedsters' is really just a useless catch-all phrase, which means nothing by itself in a discussion.
Speedsters are not made equal, and they job in general in comics.
Wolverine has struggled with a low supersonic Speed Demon.
And even when he did tag him with an elbow by 'predicting' where Speed Demon was going to attack next, it was PIS:
Seeing as Speed Demon was easily fast enough to blindside Wolverine and be too fast for Wolverine to get a good visual of, that means he should have casually seen Wolverine slowly extending his elbow at a molasses like pace and casually side-stepped it.
There is no fancy, zen-like way of outfighting someone who is dozens of times faster than you. You can't predict what they are going to do next because they can think immensely faster than you and by the time you make a prediction, they could have already attacked a multitude of different ways than what you were attempting to counter.
If you are immensely slower than someone, you can only win in one of two ways:
1. Hope you are tough enough to outlast them until they slow down to a level that you can keep up with(if they do slow down at all).
2. Have an esoteric set-up. Like auto-shields that are always on, and an AOE attack that is large enough/fast enough to overcome their speed.
