Simply put, the One's are the most powerful beings in the galaxy. It is only through Anakin's corruption and empowerment at the hands of The Son that he is able to best both Yoda and Sheev, never is this stated to be backwards.

Similar to the Dagobah cave they are nothing more than a product of the conflict that takes place in Anakin. Well, since Anakin was able to best them, master them and in the end they all died, they are no gods. They never existed in the first place, they were created as a vision. Annakin was even in this vision stated to be above them.
Good point, with the nexus, but it works against you. Since the Ones are there from the start, they are also able to use this nexus of power, they are amplfied by it and since they are more in tune with it, it's laughable to see how easily Anakin bested them. Now imagine someone like Palpatine there, he would use the Nexus even better, he would kill the father, the daughter and enslave the son. Just in the Vision, we saw how well Yoda treats his vision compared to Anakin or Luke.

Well I've never seen sidious do anything like these feats here. It even says that the Son is the dark side incarnate.
One thing you must look is timing. Clone wars came after Revenge of the Sith novel, so yea there would be no issue with Sidious being the dark sides most powerful thing since The Son didn't exist. Also the Son was dead, so really Sidious could fill the part due to the Son being dead. Sidious is the most powerful Sith of all time, but he is the second greatest dark side user, after the Son. If you involve EU third after Abeloth and The Son.
