I'm sure Kevin Smith understands money and profits. BG will lose the studio less money if it's never released and they write it off.

The Flash, despite Ezra Miller being a true degenerate who has now been fired, can still earn money. Believe me, if they come to the conclusion that shelving The Flash would make $$$ sense, it will happen.

Apparently the WBD wants to scrap the film and Zaslav was against it. Several meeting over it and Aquaman 2 is testing poorly and Zaslav is worried.

Technically, the first DCEU film was supposed to be Green Lantern in 2011. But after that was an embarrassing failure, they meekly stated "Ahhh...that one didn't count." 😛

Yeah that was there first attempt. And The Joker and The Batman is sort of their third attempt (not a shared Universe, but going out of their shared Universe to attempt success that way). I mean let's face it, if the Joker film was with Jared Leto, it wouldn't have done well.

WB/DC keep sabotaging themself with each next "project".

The thing is V for Vendetta, Watchmen, Nolan Batman, Aquaman, Wonderwoman and Joker show how well Warner characters can do. As do older films like Reeves Superman and 1989 Batman.
