First of all, I consider DC comics to be vastly inferior in every f*cking way to the Marvel Universe.

Second... WB has always had the opportunity to create the cinematic universe.

But they were either too afraid, didn't know what to start with or failed miserably like with DCEU 2013 - 2023...

We don't need another decade like that. Let it die, let it disappear forever.

Superman shitting his pants and stuttering in front of Putin in canonical comics shortly before the war wasn't forgotten, either.

Then you have Ezra Miller. The homicidal, drugged maniac who needs to get a lethal injection, asap.

Come on, man, DC has comic wins, just like Marvel.

Fair enough.

WB should have followed the MCU formula, build individual characters, have sequel films and then have team ups for the greater shared story arc. Sure MCU fans would have cried, but it's a formula that works and Disney doesn't have sole rights to this format.

I will also never forgive WB for casting Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Mark Strong was available. Hell, any random half-ripe avocado would have been a better casting choice.

How Ezra isn't out of a job is beyond me.

Both DC and Marvel comics have become garbage. They've been godawful for at least 10 years now. Choosing between them is like choosing between two different types of shit. It's shit either way. There's a reason why a series about a little demon hunting siscon outsold the entire American comic industry two years back.

Seriously, I went to a Barnes & Noble yesterday and there was shelf after shelf after shelf devoted to manga. While American comics were relegated to only two small shelfs. A complete reversal of how it was a few years back.

Calling whatever American comics garbage, Seems to be more to do with opinions

like that quote 'Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one'

Thanks Kaz. We all forgot that opinions are subjective until you mentioned it.

Well some folks do act like their opinions is fact and forget opinions are subjective.

Or they think people are intelligent enough to read an opinion as an opinion and so they don't feel the need to end every opinion with an "IMO".

But I guess I have to much faith in people.

And my opinion is that I think I give less than zero shits about a Flash movie.

Join the club.

All the Ezra Miller ****ery aside that's been happening in real life, According to Gunn this movie great.

It's not that I disagree that comics are shit; it's that the vast majority of successful manga is lowest common denominator pandering garbage and Demon Slayer more than most. Truly a riddle for the ages how one of the most generic shonen of all time with execrable artwork managed to sell anything at all, let alone become one of the top selling manga of all time.

im seeing this trash free of charge

Better avoid seeing it at all.

Watching Ezra Miller's "performance" is worse than suffering a renal colic attack.

Spare yourself the pain, Bruce.

why is this not a film

No.

#3 is Wonder Woman.

I love you, Blake, but you're the least knowledgeable comic dude on entire KMC.

savage

Still, I can't understand why they've hired the worst chemically imbalanced freak in the Hollywood to play the role.

His performance is hated almost as much as Eisenberg's Luthor or Leto's Joker.

Giving him a solo movie is like committing seppuku for DCEU.

you called me schizo 🙁

Yeah, They ditch Henry Cavill but they keep Ezra around.

I'm mostly just amazed at how Ezra has remained legally untouchable despite everything he's done. He must've had someone from WB or someone powerful fighting for him in court for him to still be the Flash and everything.

Even if the Flash film is apparently good from what Gunn said, there's still the issue of giving Ezra money. I won't be at least. Will just wait for that storm to pass and then look forward to whatever else that might be good that doesn't have someone widely controversial as the lead.

With what Gunn announced yesterday, I guess there's plenty to look forward to. Creature Commandos (his usual thing of bringing relatively unknown characters to life), Waller show, Green Lantern show with both Hal Jordan and John Stewart, Paradise Lost (Themyscira) show, Booster Gold show, another Swamp Thing movie, etc.

Who would be good enough to play Barry Allen? Bryan Cranston?
