Laws may be changeable and statutes may vary, but there is no world in which a minor is not mature enough to sign into a contract with an adult but can consent to sex with one.

There is no way to answer that question, because that world does not exist.

there is a way to answer it adam. you are deflecting. search your mind and answer

We don't need a new thread each day for every news event. This is closed because people can't post without resorting to trolling, bashing and off topic nonsense. If I see any of you starting up in other threads, bans will be considered.

Re-opened on request providing people only discuss the news around the ramifications of this and don;t turn it into another political free-for-all punch up.

Much appreciated!

So this is bizarre..

Former DC Lead Homicide Detective says the handling of all this is just bizarre and not done right at all.

Unless the police suspect a murder/foul-play and an investigation is opened, isn't it the family's decision if an autopsy is performed?

From what I heard it was supposed to be required of any high level government official, and the whole thing just sounds bizzare. Supposedly he had a shoulder injury on his shooting shoulder that would have prevented him from hunting, yet he was at a hunting ranch..

But the familys thing is one, the but something else entirely that there was no investigation, the handling of this was all wrong as said by a former lead DC homicide detective.

If that's the case sure, have not heard of that, always thought it was decision for the family unless foul play is assumed and then the police investigation takes precedence over the family's wishes.

To me, an almost 80 year old obese man dying in his sleep isn't bizarre. As far as being at a hunting ranch, maybe he just liked the place beyond blasting animals.

Obama wont even go to the funeral.

How can anyone respect this man, such a pitiful display.

The most recent member of the Supreme Court to die was Chief Justice William Rehnquist in 2005. In that instance, President George W. Bush not only attended the funeral, he also eulogized Rehnquist, who had been nominated to the court by Richard Nixon.

"Instead, the president will pay his respects on Friday, when Scalia's body lies in repose in the Great Hall of the Supreme Court building. Vice President Joe Biden will attend Scalia's funeral at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the White House said Wednesday during a press briefing."

So paying respects is the same thing as going to the funeral.

Rob are you clearly just biased?

No, they're clearly different, but still somehow offer the same outcome, paying respect to the deceased.

Maybe you should find out why Obama's not going to the funeral but paying respects the day prior, before you judge him as 'worst person ever'?

He's not going because he's not going

Look. I don't believe in the conspiracy.
Why is Obama not going to the funeral tho? Does anybody know

Because he doesn't want to. From my understand Obama does whatever he wants to do.

He hasn't given a reason?

It's possible he might have a reason. I admit when I first heard he wasn't going I thought "hmm, but he certainly showed up at the funeral for one of those people killed by the racist white dude". I mean wasn't the dude full on singing amazing grace and stuff? But then the radio station I heard that on did not mention he was paying his respects the day before.

it's not the same thing at all. the president should be seen at the funeral of a justice.
obama will be the first president to do this if i heard correctly. there are reports that he is missing the funeral for golf....i'm not joking.
