Why Valkorion?

Because that's what he goes by now. Plus Valkorion is a far better character then Vitiate (even if they are supposed to be the same character).

Thats stupid.

Plain and simple.

Its an alien concept for someone to be known by something and then just come up as something else permanently.

He was Vitiate over 1000 years, so why the change?

Why call him Darth Sidious/Vader/Revan/Kylo Ren? He was X for X amount of X and X, with X and X.

He might've wanted to turn over a new life, and actually have a family.

He changed names a few times. Probably to hide his identity as he needed. Just pick a reason.

Plus 'Vitiate' just sounds like 'initiate'. Like a new member is an initiate. Lame. 'Valkorion' sounds like some Tolkien-esque Sith Lord Elf. Way coolerer.

I still prefer calling pre-KOTFE incarnations Vitiate. It doesn't make sense to call the new guy Vitiate though.

Because Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious was already taken.

Heck, technically he stopped calling himself Vitiate and just went by 'Sith Emperor' for awhile.

He likes changing names and Valkorion is his current one.
