I need Disney to give me some good ol' power quotes about the Sheev.
"Here are Sith Lords who can manipulate black holes, planets, Sidious hasn't done anything on par with this, in terms of Force powers." --Official Fact File 2016. 🙂

wut

That's Gideon.

Finished this today. It's very good. Gray does a great job creating a lot of really fun and unique characters.

Do you think it compares favorably to most of the old EU?

The EU novels were terrible, so...

I'm about nine or ten chapters in and I agree with Ares that this book is very good. It's well written; the characters are excellent, Leia in particular is very well done; the plot is also really good, and I feel like it hasn't even properly kicked off yet.

It's also an entirely new era, so the galaxy feels really fresh, and the shit that is happening feels actually important, rather than being a mere side story. It's definitely the best Canon novel I'd read so far, which isn't saying much, but even so I'd recommend it to anyone.

Cut the psuedo reviews. Any feats?

Can canon Luke manipulate black holes?

I finished it yesterday, and yeah it's pretty good. The side characters are actually interesting for once, which is unusual for a Star Wars book, and the author did a great job writing an older, wiser Leia but still keeping her personality from the movies intact. The book also explains how the First Order came to be, so that alone should get people to read it. I'd give it a 4/5.

If disney actually respected the ot, they would build off it, not try to replicate and replace it
