Shaw absorbs more than just kinetic energy. eg Havoc's blast which produce heat and nuclear energy

Correct, he absorbs all kinds of energy. I was just referring to Kinetic, because of the plan people were trying to implement.. i.e. Thor's hammer moving him.

But in the cases of the unknown, we go off what we've seen to be his max, which was going to be absorbing enough nuclear radiation/energy and then exploding himself like an atom bomb.
