Hmm, don't know about that. Sonic would be superior to him in speed at that point in time, I think. Unless Garou's ability to get stronger began to work fast enough for him to keep up.

Yeah, that's my thinking. He's been taken out a few times. His "evolution" power could be pretty quick, though.

But the main thing, is One chose to cut him out of the picture. It's not like Sonic hasn't been used before to showcase how tough the latest monster is e.g. Sea King.

True... still, by that point in time, Garou had remarked as he left that an S class would be too much for him at the time and Sonic is already S class tier in overall ability (where exactly on that particular scale he falls on, we can't be too sure just yet) and it wasn't until some time later that Garou was able to beat down Tanktop Master.

Garou was also layin a smack down on Metal Bat who gets faster and stronger as the battle goes on.

That occurred quite some time after the criminal meeting he and Sonic were at, so he was considerably stronger by then. And by his own admission, taking a hit head on from Metal Bat would've been bad. He won through sheer skill since Metal Bat has no real technique beyond bashing things head on, his intuition aside.

And I think Sonic is more dangerous than Tanktop Master.

Garou likely reaches or passes up Sonic after the Tanktop fight.

Again, he took Tanktop Master off guard with his Water Flowing Rock Smashing Fist, so if he'd known beforehand about that, who knows how it'd have turned out. The fact that Garou was getting beaten down initially before having to resort to it says a bit about the guy's power.

Well, his motif is tank tops. You've pretty much gotta he tough to get away with wearing those things. 😉
