People that abuse animals fail to realize that they're not property, but they are in fact people too.

I think zoosadism is as deplorable as rape. It is inflicting suffering on a completely powerless victim. Nothing more evil than that.
I don't advocate inflicting needless suffering on animals, but I also in no way think their suffering is equivalent in importance to that of a human being's. 👆

I feel guilt for killing bugs, with the exception of flies and blood sucking mosquitos.
Not so much bugs with me, but I do feel bad when I accidently run over a wild animal on the highway. Many a skunk, armadillo, and opossum have met their fates running in front of my 18 wheeler.

Well for one thing..the incident in this topic wasn't being done out of sport. It was just cruelty. I don't mind people going and hunting animals in the wild, but to treat a domesticated dog or cat in such a way is wrong. Also how about we apply your logic to humans? So..I can come over and beat the shit out of you, right? After all boxing is a sport. So I can come beat you down and you can't press charges because hey people pay to watch people fight each other. Awesome.
im sayn all killing of animals should be wrong if its not for food... dnt say some animals are better then others

But the sad truth is some animals are better then others. It's not like people..where we have different races, but we're all the same inside, all capable of the same feelings.
Animals are not the same. Some of them are kind of..huge dicks. I'm not even talking about something like a lion that will kill you if you're dumb enough to get close. Just overall animals being dicks.
You ever hear of a honey badger? Those things are f*cking awful creatures. Oh the name sounds harmless enough, but the reality is different. Seriously though, f*ck honey badgers. At one point they were in the guiness book of world records for the most fearless creature. That is not a joke either. Not only are they fearless, but they are downright mean. Oh and their skin is thick enough that there have apparently been reports of arrows not even really being able to pierce their skin(spears have apparently failed as well). Let's not even get into their teeth that are strong enough to break tortoise shells. It's also resistant to snake venom, because you see this thing will eat anything. Fruit, plants, mammals, snakes, your face. Probably your very soul too.
It's basically like nature gave this animal every tool it needed just to troll people. I think these animals quite possibly invented the concept of not giving a f*ck.
Yeah f*ck spiders. I don't remember giving them permission to come inside my house. My cat has permission, bugs don't.
Plus me quickly squishing a spider is a much better fate then what would happen if my cat found it. She's eaten centipedes, spiders, butterflies, etc. She also plays with them before she devours them.

Why did you post this? At first I thought you were attempting to show animals aren't defined as people, but number 6 says "lower animals usually of a specified kind or situation" so I'm confused.

You..are aware that an animal can be psychologically devastated by mistreatment, right?

Roosevelt kept one as a pet that was literally thrown at him by a little girl.
