Pretty much. She also didn't need to hog screen time to create a presence. Less was more but what was shown was awesome.

Agreed on both. Probably Kelly Hue's hottest and toughest role. about the pandering only tgat way can they name money abd please nost fanvases without extra investment. To be able to create completely new, interesting and marketable characters takes a lot of creativity which isn't found much todsy especially with the editorial restrictions

Atleast she is better than Mystique who is barely few strips away from being totally nude. Rebecca Romijin proved that she is still hot under tons of makeup. I didn't even recognise her. For J Law they used a lot less makeup so that audiences can be lured in with her atar power but they didn't do it for Donijin. Atleast she was in that hot dress in X2 lol

I feel like making money on the comics themselves is a secondary priority these days. The real money is on the series/movies/merchandising deals that the established characters can bring in. And the problem with mass market items like these is that it takes a little PR hiccup to ruin a shit-ton of branding goodwill from a big chunk of the mass market. Merchandising/series/movies require a crapton of money to invest in and any risk of them losing money is worth more than looking out for a much smaller (but passionate) market like their comicbook reading fanbase. Thus the pandering. IMO, anyway as I don't really know what's going on inside the comic book industry these days.
