I do wish they had a better actress in the role instead of a model with a little bit of acting background.

Why? Judging by many reviews, Gadot is great in the role.

I've also heard her dialogue is limited and that Chris Pine is in almost every scene with her which carries her performance along. And that her strength is that she acts well in the action sequences.

Yes Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans have also done modelling. But they were both proven actors before being cast as Thor and Cap.

Then we get a girl in Fast and Furious who was there to look good on the side and was even about to give up her "acting career", being cast as frigging Wonder Woman.

Proven actors? Hemsworth had done very little outside of soaps, and Evans, good as he is, was not really that established. I mean, look at how much they paid him for TFA.

I think you just don't like Gadot, tbh. 😛

I didn't mean proven as in they've both had massive box office successes.

I meant they both had a decent acting background. Gal was primarily a model, who won some side roles in films like Fast & Furious and Date Night, where her role was basically to look good.

Sure I like her. She's hot. Unfortunately I've seen her acting as well.

Anyway by the sounds of it, her performance is fine in this. I just think they could have picked a much better actress.

Gal is perfect for ww, imo. And from the reviews, people love her.

Not sure I would go with perfect but, going by what an early review from a reviewer I often tend to agree with said, she definitely nails the role in terms of a physical standpoint, and she does well with the dialogue as well. Apparently there are a handful of flat moments, but she does a good job overall, and the movie is pretty good as a whole. And, considering that he has a rather low opinion of BvS and SS, the fact that he liked it is a good sign IMO.

Well I'm hoping I'll be on side Gadot as well once I've seen WW.

Wow. Pleasantly surprised by the reviews. I was expecting a decent RT score, but not in the 90’s. Looking forward to seeing this on Saturday.

When 45 reviews were in on Rotten Tomatoes Wonder Woman had 96% -- now that 63 reviews are in it has 97%. I bet W.W. will stay in the 90s, so this is pretty awesome.

The average is 7.7. Right up there with Logan and some of the best cb movies. Hopefully this movie doesn't disappoint.
