What time-period for Kid Trunks? Post-ROSAT, Kid Trunks oneshots (base post ROSAT Gotenks > SSJ pre-ROSAT Gotenks, a ludicrous jump). Pre-ROSAT, it's a little harder to estimate.

I was assuming this is pre-RoSaT kid Trunks.

Wait a sec. Trunks was roughly on goten's level, and if i remember right, his base level was close to chichi's. How is he gonna handle future trunks and his ultrasaiyan thing?

Also, Goten's bio in the second Daizenshuu(which is 100% canon) states that: a.) Goten was already a mastered/FPSSJ at the beginning of the Boo saga, and b.) was equal to Gohan:

A gifted child who mastered Super Saiyan at a young age.

"By virtue of being Goku's son, Goten posses battle power not the least bit inferior to even Gohan. On top of being able to unleash a startling amount of power in even his normal state, he can easily transform into a Super Saiyan. Furthermore, he merges with Trunks through a technique known as Fusion."

Additionally, the title page of the manga states that as of the Boo saga, Goten and Trunks were the most powerful heroes on earth(excluding the adult Saiyans):

Suffice to say: the boys were just beastly. Much moreso than some like to think. 🙂

He's deffinately stronger than gohan or goku at that age but he still couldn't beat chichi without transforming. Goten probably has the greatest potential but i don't think that quote directly refers to his power level.

The Daizenshuu outright states that Goten's battle power is equal to Gohan's. It can't get anymore explicit than that. srsly

But momma could still smack him around and her powerlevel never broke 1000(i don't even remember if it brike 100)

What in the heck are you talking about? All that was stated in the manga is that Chi-Chi taught Goten how to spar/fight:

Well lets look at their other fight. Even without SS2 gohan should have still been stronger than 18 and goten + trunks didn't take her diwn either. After gotenks timer ran out, buutenks turned into buuccolo so their both at least weaker than him. Future trunks is way stronger.

Kid Trunks. Future Trunks may have more skill being older and a more serious fighter but skill is trumped by power in Z.

And again: the Daizenshuu clearly states that Goten = Gohan. ie. Trunks > Goten = Gohan. We also have a title page from the manga confirming that the boys were the most powerful beings on earth(excluding the adult Saiyans, who could access higher levels of Super Saiyan.) ie. The boys > Boo-era Piccolo, #18, etc.

Anywho, it's one thing to believe that Future Trunks is more powerful than pre-RoSaT kid Trunks... Saying he is "way" stronger, however, just shows a blatant ignorance of kid Trunks, imo.

Piccolo is stronger than them so that statment can't be 100% percent accurate.

^That's true. The fact that Piccolo took precedence over Boo's appearance after Gotenks' timer went out confirms that his power is higher than theirs individually.

^ That's because the kids reverted to their base levels after they defused within Boo... We saw this when Goku/Vegeta retrieved them:

Of course Piccolo was > the kids in their base levels. He was > Goku/Vegeta in their base levels as well... SSJ is an entirely different story, however.

If that's really the case, though, then it makes little sense. Boo only lost roughly a third of his power after the fusion ended, IIRC. So unless SSJ3 Gotenks is only a few times stronger than base Goten and Trunks, that can't be right...

The one third comment was filler. In the manga, Goku only notes that Boo's power had decreased enough that Gohan could solo him:

As for the kids reverting back to base when they defused within Boo: yes, I'm positive that's what happened. Not only did Goku/Vegeta find them in their base levels, but we saw the same thing happen with SSJ Vegetto inside Boo:

After dropping the shield and defusing, Goku/Vegeta instantly reverted back to their base levels as well.
