I find it interesting that on this forum, people are always mentioning how Vitiate can't be defeated because he can just revert to his spirit form if killed. In this battle, Palpatine will also revert to an essence form if he's physically killed (again, if, which he won't) - and the team is completely and utterly powerless to affect him in that state.

Yes, but what Palpatine can do in disembodied form, is important.

Valkorion doesn't needs a corporeal vessel to function and affect the external environment in spectacular ways. He is a true entity now.

You destroy a corporeal vessel of Valkorion? No problem. He will continue the confrontation in disembodied form.
