Darth Nihilus's fate

Let's say Meetra and team failed, and they got an killed on Ravager in some explosion or attack from the troopers. Nihilus went on to drain Telos and his damaged fleet continued their mission.

If Nihilus existed on, what would have happened? Would Kreia survive Meetra's death and invent something new? Would Nihilus drain whole the galaxy? Would The Ones intervene?

I doubt that Darth Nihilus would have managed to drain the entire galaxy. Empire would have dealt with him, if not his own condition.
