It's not been well established that exposure to science/technology actually raises your IQ. That being said, the galaxy far far away probably does have higher IQ's for humans given better medical science/potential genetic engineering.

People with high IQ's tend to abuse drugs more, and IQ doesn't really measure knowledge. It measures your ability to solve problems.

g predicts job performance and academic success better than any other known variable. Abusing drugs could be the result of a load of psychological factors, it isn't the best barometer of intelligence.

Intelligence is nothing without knowledge. The ability to learn is up to you. I hate high IQ-ed spoiled brats, who think they are better than everyone else and don't study.

Being above average intelligence isn't nearly as hard, or uncommon, as it sounds...

Their are 9 forms of intelligence. IQ doesn't properly measure them.
