I don't think normally he is above even Superman..I would see the fight more or less going like it did in the JLU animated series.

Okay that's a lone scan of Captain Atom punching Superman. That also does not seem to be post crisis Superman.

DCnU He died though when wonder woman cut his skin open and his nuclear energy leaked out supreman survived the blast though
