Well they all fought Ventress around the same time, so she's a good measuring stick. The actually timeline being: Plo -> Luminara -> Luminara & Aayla.
Plo Koon while injured could practically stalemate Ventress, without a stylistic advantage since he only had 1 good hand. He even disarmed Ventress of 1 of her sabers (Makashi puts more emphasis on avoiding disarmament than other styles as a counter to Shii-Cho).
Luminara, while injured as well, could held her own against Asajj in sabers only with her Soresu, which is far from the best style against Makashi. Ultimately she only lost because of a combination of Force Powers and Sokan.
Luminara and Aayla together tho beat Ventress decisively. Constantly making her giving ground, retreating, even though one of them was a Soresu specialist. If not for the "arena" Ventress could've lost quickly.
Plo is not Asajj though. He has a better defense imo, a style better suited for combating multiple opponents (Shien), and smarter too. On the other hand he less abusive with Force Powers in combat, and his one handed Djem So won't hold any inherent advantage over Aayla's Ataru.
No one in the aforementioned duels were in their prime tho, but besides Ventress their power growth is not well documented. If anything the Team could've had more improvement considering they are far younger than Plo.
I think the Team's decisive victory over Ventress gives them the win. Plo is a different combatant tho and thanks to his strengths he will give them a better fight, and when push comes to shove he'll use TK (which in this setting will only result in short BFR).
