Revamped Kingdom Come Superman Respect Thread

I. Physiology

A short section on Kingdom Come Superman's physiology.

KC Superman is revealed to be completely immune to the effects of Kryptonite with one exception. If it gets into his eyes it'll burn them a bit and leaves him blinded for a short time.

After KC Captain Marvel sacrifices himself to destroy the bomb – every character is killed except from the ones shielded by Alan Scott. And KC Superman who wasn't protected at all. So out of all the heroes and villains he was the only one who could withstand the bomb. And when you look he shows virtually no sign of damage apart from his suit being slightly singed at the arms.

III. Speed/Flight Speed

After being temporarily blinded KC Superman lashes out at a person who touches him on the shoulder, he then sees that it is Pre-Flashpoint Superman. When he realizes what he has done he moves as fast as he can so he can catch Pre-Flashpoint Superman “mid flight” so to speak.

VI. Super Hearing

When KC Superman is being kept captive by the JSA he can hear them saying that they have locked the door. He then begins to hear the voice of a girl who is about to commit suicide. He begins to break out and along the way continues to hear her voice.

VIII. Fights Pt 1/3

This section will contain all of the fights that Kingdom Come Superman has engaged in during his time in comics.

Kingdom Come Superman vs Superboy

In the recent Convergence event KC Superman and Superboy encounter eachother. KC Superman realizing that the only way to fix the situation would be for Superboy to admit “defeat” so both cities can be saved and KC Superman can investigate their current predicament. Superboy, disagreeing with this continuously attempts to fight KC Superman but to no avail. KC Superman spends the whole fight attempting to calm Superboy down and eventually Superboy realizes that to help everyone he has to be “defeated”. He challenges KC Superman by saying he thinks it will take the “old man” 3 punches to take him out. But KC Superman takes him out with a single punch, which according to the narration had “The power to move a planet”.

Kingdom Come Superman vs Justice Society of America

After KC Superman arrives on a unfamiliar world he encounters the Justice Society of America. After speaking with them they decide to lock him inside a room. Meanwhile KC Superman is talking to Obsidian when he hears a different voice that isn't from the JSA members. As soon as he hears the voice he immediately gets up and smashes through the door. Ahead of him are the members of the JSA. They all attempt to hold him down and even with Starman increasing KC Superman's weight a hundredfold they still cannot contain him. He escapes from the building and continues to head towards the direction the voice is coming from. He blitzes past Jay Garrick who remarks “Sonnuvagun is fast. Maybe as fast as Wally.” We then discover he shot off to save a girl from committing suicide.

This is quite an interesting fight to explain. It takes place on the 11th August 2040 and it is the first time Gog appears in the sense that it was the time that William Matthews first became “Gog” after the Phantom Stranger gives him a scroll granting him the powers after the Quintessence wished it to be so. He appears before this version of KC Superman from 42 years in the future (since the comic was published in 1998) and he brutally murders him.

VIII. Fights Pt 2/3

Kingdom Come Superman & Justice Society of America vs Gog, Magog & Justice Society Infinity

This is definitely the largest fight or one of in this respect thread and it is going to be very hard to explain without writing down an entire wall of text so I will try my very best to paraphrase. We start with having 2 sides of the Justice Society of America squaring off against eachother because one side believes that Gog and Magog are correct and the other side with KC Superman, Alan Scott et al who disagree. After a brief skirmish between the 2 parties KC Superman's side are transported back to the JSA's Earth. But all of a sudden Starman becomes a receptor for a device that Michael Holt of Earth 2 had designed to allow cosmic travel. And so the JSA's Supergirl returns – but hot on her trail are the Justice League Infinity. After a skirmish between the 2 sides Starman begins to lose control of the portal to Earth-2 and Alan Scott charges headfirst into it thinking of his daughter. And Supergirl has again been kidnapped. So Alan Scott, Starman, Jay Garrick, Mr Terrific and Stargirl attempt to rescue her. After some magic is worked by Starman the entire JSA reunite to confront Gog, Magog and the split JSA team. After a brief clash KC Superman begins to clash with Magog and manages to win him over onto their side. But Gog pays Magog by stripping him of his blessing. The fight conitnues on and eventually Gog is knocked onto the floor by a now unrestrained Citizen Steel. KC Superman rips off Gog's head and with Starman providing the teleportation they fly to the Source Wall and leave Gog there. Gog makes one final stand but it is in vain. The battle finally finishes as KC Superman asks Starman to teleport him back to his home Earth. He starts by buring all of the dead from the explosion and is met by Wonder Woman who after a small talk gives him a pair of glasses and then kisses him. The final scenes that follow are a timelapse of 10 Years Later, 20 Years Later, 100 Years Later, 200 Years Later, 500 Years Later with a final page that reads 1000 Years Later and we see the Legion of Superheroes flying above with a now old grey haired KC Superman staring up at them with a proud look on his face.

There is a shootout happening on a bridge and a tram full of inncoent civilians has been caught in the middle of it. Luckily KC Superman arrives just in time. Moving like lightning and creating a whirlpool to push the tram up back onto the bridge preventing it from falling off. Even moving so fast he ends up bending the steel of their weapons.

VIII. Fights Pt 3/4

Kingdom Come Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman + Pre-Flashpoint Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman + Justice Society of America vs Gog

This long battle begins with the birth of KC Superman's son (Jonathan Kent). And he is then attacked by Gog – who then proceeds to kidnap the baby Jonathan. Gog brands KC Superman and then is about to attack again before the JSA arrive and then they take part in the battle against Gog but again to no avail. Gog attempts to travel back in time again but is unable to after Hunter has closed the timestream to stop his retreat. It is then revealed to us that at Gog's current level he is more powerful than everyone in the battle combined. As the clash continues on Gog engraves a symbol onto the ground and then teleports back in time but instead to the world of Pre-Flashpoint Superman. Pre-Flashpoint Superman attempts to attack Gog but fails to make a mark, he is knocked back but is saved by KC Superman. Who then gives Superman the idea to call the Pre-Flashpoint forms of Wonder Woman and Batman to join in the battle. When the group is together after a brief chat they discover that Gog has sealed KC Superman's son inside a giant block of Kryptonite. Enraged they all charge at Gog and while he is temporarily stunned KC Superman moves as fast as he can and clears out a Coal Mine in enough time for the others to be able to take Gog inside. When he is buried under the coal KC Superman and Pre-Flashpoint Superman proceed to crush the coal into diamond – thereby entrapping Gog. They are all happy to have saved the baby Jonathan but he then seemingly disappears out of Wonder Woman's arms. Gog emerges yet again and before he can wreak too much havoc oin the team Hunter emerges again and teleports them to a restaurant called “Planet Krypton”. While they all initially question him as to why he did this they later figure out as Gog emerges that it has been stocked full of weapons from other realities. Everyone proceeds to grab a weapon and begin a final all out attack on Gog, Gog retaliates with a giant blast leaving all the heroes grounded. Wonder Woman is in dialogue with Superman who is unable to move. After she tells the Pre-Flashpoint Kal-El of a possible future that could occur to him (the future of KC Superman). He leaps up towards Gog – but before he can reach Gog, Gog launches a blast so powerful at Pre-Flashpoint Superman he shatters the walls of hyper time which luckily allowed the blast to bounce back at Gog. Mortally wounding him. Everyone in the group is being sucked away from the present time as if it were a black hole. Pre-Flashpoint Superman saves everyone by pulling them inside which leads them to the so called Hypertime. After a lengthy discussion about this realm it transpires that Jonathan has survived, and because of his unique nature when he was threatened he transported straight back into Hypertime into the arms of what is revealed to be an Adult Jonathan Kent. The Adult Jonathan Kent then transports the group to the Quintessence, where Wonder Woman chastises them for their actions and demands that they cure Gog.

VIII. Fights Pt 4/4

Kingdom Come Superman vs Kingdom Come Captain Marvel

This fight features many other characters apart from the 2 mentioned. But I believe this fight is so integral to KC Superman that I don't really think any other characters even deserve a mention. This probably in terms of story is KC Superman's most important fight. As the prison riot begins, KC Superman shoots over to the prison as fast as he can. But he is intercepted by KC Captain Marvel before he can make it. Then a huge fight breaks out between the 2. With both of them evenly trading blows. And as KC Captain Marvel is about to launch another lightning bolt at KC Superman he punches KC Captain Marvel in the gut which knocks him into the path of the lightning bolt. Transforming him back into Billy Batson. KC Superman now holds a human Billy Batson in his hands. Giving him a lecture on the fate of the world if the wrong decision is made. With KC Superman saying to Billy that he himself is neither a man or a god. KC Superman could stop the bomb - but Billy is both so only he can weigh the 2 decisions importance and how they would effect eachother. Since he has a unique perspective. He then offers Billy a final ultimatum “You can let me go... Or with a word you can stop me. Then decide”. With this said KC Superman flies of into the air but following right behind him is now KC Captain Marvel – who grabs KC Superman by the leg and throws him back down onto the ground. Leaving Superman with no choice but to watch Billy be killed as he explodes the bomb with his lightning bolts. The next scene greets us with KC Superman now among the smouldering ruins of his now dead comrades and enemies and him kneeling in the middle of them virtually unscathed. KC Superman, now seething with anger like never before, flies as fast he can over to the U.N and begins to lock all of the people inside by welding the doors and then begins to weaken the foundations of the ceiling. But before he can do this Norman McCay speaks to Superman. Lecturing him on the fact that he blames himself for all of the problems that have occurred on his world and in this anger he has forgotten how humans feel, what they fear. Superman looks down and sees the faces of the council members that authorized the strike in the first place. And then proceeds to let go of the ceiling leaving it to stay standing. Norman finishes by saying that his next decision will need to be made as a human if he seeks redemption. KC Superman then spots Batman and co and is surprised to see survivors. Superman then speaks with the council leader and they make amends. Superman continues by saying that from now on the problems their world will suffer – they will not solve them for the world, they will solve them together. The scene finishes with KC Superman hanging KC Captain Marvel's cape outside the U.N as a flag and thwn we see KC Superman and Wonder Woman speaking at a farm before she takes off. And finally we have a scene that takes place some days after. With KC Superma, Wonder Woman and Batman all in a restaurant talking amongst themselves. As the conversation nears it's end Batman deduces that Wonder Woman is pregnant. And Wonder Woman asks for him to be the godfather of the child. Batman is initially shocked at the proposal but Superman says to him that their child will need both a mortal influence as well, and especially that of a moral man such as Bruce. He continues by saying that trust is the center of his world and he doesn't know if it makes him an expert in the field. But he knows that despite the differences between the 2. He can trust Bruce completely. With that statement Batman and Superman hug eachother and a final conversation occurs with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman discussing things about the baby, such a whether it is a he or she etc.

I have a suggestion. Since these are alt universe characters that KC Supes mostly against, how about few feats of theirs separate from their fights with Supes? so that we can accurately gouge them?
