Ahhh Jen. My new fav character. Tbh i never truly understood her relationship with Banner. Yea they were cousins but i was never sold on the idea of them being close. But Marvels been building on it for awhile now. And after that beating from Thanos the last thing she needs is a death in the family. So here comes Carol, the bearer of bad news and i love this scene. All that unbridled fury...excellent read.
Ok first off love the Cover Art. Jeff Dekal has been kicking ass so far with this new rendition of Shulk. All muscle and rage as a Hulk should be.
Flash back scene with Bruce. Like i said b4, I never understood their relationship. Bruce is sooo stoic so it's hard for me to see him sharing a bond with anyone save betty. Even his father/son outings with Skaar seemed forced and he ended up depowering him. Also I hate how Jen looks here. Nico Leon (artist) basically drew a green tinted version of her human form. But this little scene segues to the action.
Not exactly what I hoped for. Contrast between Nicos paneling and Dekals cover; id rather see the beefy Jen that Jeff drew as opposed to this slimmed down bestial Shulk. I was also a bit thrown off by her spinal protrusions...seemed out of place. I was also looking for some feats. Im a huge fan of character progression and dialogue but after 5 issues i was ready to see her punch shit...hard
