The beer thread

I like to experiment, and threads like this are great for building a bucket list.

I don't normally go for American Brown's. Wanted their English style nut brown, but this is all they had.

Not bad at all. A little on the sweet side, but drinkable.

Being from Chicago I also like Goose Island. This is the brand I prefer to drink if I drink it:

Also yes the alcohol by volume is 14%. I've also had beer with over 20% abv. Which means just drinking one of those is basically like drinking 4 normal beers. Which ended up being awkward for me because I tend to drink beer really quickly. I don't just chug it, but it usually only takes me about 10 minutes. There is this one beer that has like 30% abv, but it cost like $200 per 12 ounce bottle and there is no way I'm spending that much on booze.

michelob ultra. 95 calories. good for an alcoholic like me when during my cutting season.

Beer is awful.

Best Beer of all.

Mickey's.
Not exactly great. Not at all awful.
You wind up drinking about 20 of them trying to decide whether you like the brand or not.

👆

Yuengling and Corona are my drinkables. Stella and pretty much any Belgian beer are good.

I used to think this when I was young, but now I developed a taste for it. Well not that I actually full on love the taste, I just don't dislike it. But I don't think I have ever once drank a beer merely because I was thirsty or hot. If I drink booze it's for one reason: to get drunk.

Since yeah, booze in general just doesn't taste great. Hard liquor is nasty and even when I mix it with fruit juice or something I can still taste the booze. I've always loved Welches "Kid Champagne" which is non-alcoholic. Basically if there was actual booze that tasted like that I'd be a full blown alcoholic.

Yeah but around the time you hit the midway point you really don't give a crap either way.... 🤣

So true!!! 😂

beer is like coffee, you either like it or you don't. it's an acquired taste.

my fave beers are:

innis and gunn
corona
stella
michelob ultra
indian pale ale
mill street coffee porter

The Best Beer is FREE Beer.

all of this talk about beer is making me want some beers

🍺

Was never much of a drinker and two years ago stopped drinking alcoholic beverages entirely, but a fresh pint of Guinness was my favorite, on the rare occasions I had a beer.

yeah, i don't miss drinking but once in a while, I feel like one or two

From the American market I enjoyed Fat Tire, Samuel Adams and Blue Moon. I also liked Goose Island 👆

I’d also recommend to anyone trying out German beer, especially brands like Franziskaner, Paulaner or Kaiserdom.

When it comes to Polish beer I really enjoy Zywiec.

Which is how i once got 2 cases of Mickey's!
An underage guy in the barracks had to ditch them right before a health & welfare inspection...✅

Kronenberg and Stella are my go to beers. Had a bender these last few days and it's kinda destroying me. A nice cold pint is fine but nobody should make a habit out of drinking.

It's poison.
