Being from Chicago I also like Goose Island. This is the brand I prefer to drink if I drink it:
Also yes the alcohol by volume is 14%. I've also had beer with over 20% abv. Which means just drinking one of those is basically like drinking 4 normal beers. Which ended up being awkward for me because I tend to drink beer really quickly. I don't just chug it, but it usually only takes me about 10 minutes. There is this one beer that has like 30% abv, but it cost like $200 per 12 ounce bottle and there is no way I'm spending that much on booze.

Beer is awful.
I used to think this when I was young, but now I developed a taste for it. Well not that I actually full on love the taste, I just don't dislike it. But I don't think I have ever once drank a beer merely because I was thirsty or hot. If I drink booze it's for one reason: to get drunk.
Since yeah, booze in general just doesn't taste great. Hard liquor is nasty and even when I mix it with fruit juice or something I can still taste the booze. I've always loved Welches "Kid Champagne" which is non-alcoholic. Basically if there was actual booze that tasted like that I'd be a full blown alcoholic.
Kronenberg and Stella are my go to beers. Had a bender these last few days and it's kinda destroying me. A nice cold pint is fine but nobody should make a habit out of drinking.
It's poison.

I like to experiment, and threads like this are great for building a bucket list.I don't normally go for American Brown's. Wanted their English style nut brown, but this is all they had.
Not bad at all. A little on the sweet side, but drinkable.
