Good Reads

I'd like to expand my somewhat limited knowledge on the EU so that I can debate in threads like a pro just as Quanchi and Carthage do.

What novels can you recommend?

The Revan novel.

Dynasty of Evil.

Dark Disciple.

The Crystal Star.

Shatterpoint.
Dark Rendezvous.
Darth Plagueis.

Star by Star
Traitor
Darth Plagueis
Revenge of the Sith novel
Shatterpoint
Fate of the Jedi Apocalypse
Deceived
Rise of Darth Vader

Anyone who doesn't suggest Dark Rendezvous is wrong. And they should feel bad for being wrong.

I didn't think it was that good

Some of the ones I really enjoyed

Bane Trilogy
Plagueis
Fate of the Jedi
Book of Sith and Jedi Path
Deceived
Fatal Alliance
The Collected Tales of the Lost Tribe (I think that's what it was called)

Thanks for the recs. I'll be on Carthage's and Quanchi's level in no time ;-)

(Don't actually read the ones I suggested. They're shit.)

In all seriousness, I recommend you going with the following order:

- Tales of the Jedi comics.
- SWTOR: Revan novel.
- SWTOR: Deceived novel.
- The Darth Bane trilogy.
- The Darth Plagueis novel.
- The Shatterpoint novel.
- The Dark Rendezvous novel.
- The Dark Lord trilogy.

And then that will take you up to the OT.

After that, there's mainly multi-book sagas, not standalones.

Bane Trilogy.
Force Unleashed Duology.
The Thrawn Trilogy.
Labrynth of Evil.
Dark Rendezvous.

I forgot about the Thrawn trilogy. Definitely read that. 👆

F##K, I forgot about Labyrinth of Evil.

wat

OT Trilogy.
Prequel Trilogy.
Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader.
Deceived.
Darth Plagueis.

The above suggestions are also good reads.

Revenge of the Sith is probably one of the best if not THE best SW novel.

Read the Dark Lord trilogy before anything else, honestly.

In case you don't know what that is:

-Laybrinth of Evil
-Revenge of the Sith
-Rise of Darth Vader

👆

For some fun I recommend the Dark Forces Trilogy.

- Soldier for the Empire.

- Rebel Agent.

- Jedi Knight

The Jaden Korr duology as well

- Crosscurrent

- Riptide

The Jedi Academy series Is worth it just for Daala's antics.(it does possess cringe worthy moments, such as Han and Kyp snowboarding)

A lot of the books suggested here aren't good reads tbh. DMB, most of yours are honestly God-awful.

Aurb's right: YDR is the best. Shatterpoint, Cloak of Deception, The Unifying Force, ROTS, and Traitor are all excellent. Shadow Hunter, Death Star, the Med-Star duology, Labyrinth of Evil, Star By Star, Destiny's Way, and Dark Lord are all good.

The rest range from mediocre (Plaguies) to shitty: Bane trilogy, Force Unleashed, FOTJ, LOTF, etc.

I just finished Lords of the Sith. I think Vader and Palpatine have some BDSM sexual relationship going on, it's offputting.
