Bullshit forum arguments

Spacebattle forums are considered one of the worst online vs forums, and I'll show you one of the prime examples:

Did someone really this battle was fair: 😕
https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/solid-old-snake-and-liquid-ocelot-vs-nolanverse-batman-and-bane.383996/

Lol at this Batman fanboy defending BvS Batman against MCU Hulk, saying Batman in his armor will punch out Hulk: 🙄
https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/hulk-vs-batman-bvs.384287/

And now for the grand finale, a guy who is even a even there and everybody there agrees to having a hateboner against Marvel comic characters Yhwach: 😎
https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/how-powerful-are-the-watchers.379557/

One of Yhwach's most amazing comments: 😄

I remember seeing a thread on there a long long time ago that was Goku and Vegeta vs Sidious and Vader and they kept saying the force lightning would kill them and that Vader could crush Goku's throat with the force.

It wasn't even the EU versions of the star wars characters. That wouldn't of made a vast difference, but at least those versions are substantially more powerful then the movie versions.

WTF?

Wouldn't be surprised. The idiots who have free reign and run rampant there would be banned thousand folds in any other forums

WTF?

A few posts in they post a link to a topic of "Darth Maul vs the Bloods". As in the LA gang lol. What no Crips?

The VS-concept in general is a horrible environment for debate because it's so interpretative. There is readily available evidence to back up pretty much any position.

As long as you're having fun keep doing it, but don't take it too seriously.

This is why you just need a certain set of rules, like all debates have. People hate on CBR, but I liked their rule system mostly.

If you want an environment where there is an unambiguous right and wrong answer to every debate you'll need a rigorous format where certain counter-evidence can be used to negate (weaker) evidence.

But then people would direct their critique from the debates themselves to the rules—because people tend to like their own evidence the best and it's easier to blame the rules than it is to admit to bias—which I imagine being the case with CBR.

No, at CBR they make rules so that they can twist everything according to their interpretations

Well the thing is what people don't realize is you need to essentially debate the power sets, which is what CBR does. Since as you said, literally anything can happen within the confines of a comic. But then people say it's boring to argue powersets, but then it becomes even more problematic if you don't argue them and just argue the characters.

LOL.

Space battles is pretty bad. The mods really back the retards. It's an awful place but every once in a while I'm bored.

Exactly. Certain evidence was accepted while others was pis. That isn't accepting all evidence and allowing for bias to run rampant. Cbr died because it sucked and was awful.

High end feats were counted, it wasn't like random feats were thrown out. PIS feats were thrown out yes, so no "Black Panther put Silver Surfer in an armbar" stupid shit like that.

It wasn't a perfect system, but the system here isn't perfect and also lends itself to a never ending circle of argument. That is why you have so many topics with dozens upon dozens of pages.

These are the same guys that thinks Alucard from Hellsing is Omnipresent, and can beat the likes of Superman, Doomsday, Darkseid, Novel D, Ultimate Cars, Dio Brando. The list goes on and on.

Oh, look, the mature adult perspective. 👆

It's fun and some things can be based on facts...making the debates much more clear cut. But it is very interpretative at times.

So you'd rather have shorter arguments ? Cbr actually had mod enforced winners which defeats the purpose of debating since the outcomes were already decided.

Debates over fictional things battling is gay. I would never partake in that childish gambino.

Yeah i guess so, the mods of Spacebattles even tried to make me run all threads in Content Review if (or whenever) i want to post one in Vs Debates forum.

Damn I miss Quan saying that thanos would win every vs. battle because he's immortal lol
