This was an unnecessary mistake,” an individual with knowledge of Couric’s thinking told TheWrap
Katie Couric is upset that an eight-second pause inserted into an interview she did with gun rights activists in the documentary “Under the Gun” has drawn criticism, calling the edit an “unnecessary mistake,” according to an individual with knowledge of her thinking.

The individual spoke to TheWrap and said that director Stephanie Soechtig inserted the pause, which critics are calling an example of “deceptive” and “appalling journalism."

Just another example of the liberal agenda falling apart for all the lies.

this is the type of thing that SHOULD garner despise from people and end her career; but it probably won't

I love it when people copy and paste stuff without even reading it.

TI is a master of that. You'll notice he'll respond more if you respond. If nobody responds, he'll spend the day having a conversation with himself in the thread.

I love it when people use this line to try and discredit the story even though it happened.

Much like you talking about basketball to yourself and complaining about it.

You're clearly feeling guilty about doing this. I wonder why.

they've been gathering for years waiting for him to do this. Bribery, corruption, bullying and harassment of citizens, going into business with people linked to organized crime. It's gonna be hilarious. Can't wait til the media starts releasing their plethora of stories on him

Looks like it didn't work.

why aren't people just addressing the topic directly? why always the shiit fest even if you find something flawed with the op?

So was this your way of saying the topic is wrong? The article is wrong? Or what? What was the point of what you just said? Be more clear.

"My intention was to provide a pause for the viewer to have a moment to consider this important question before presenting the facts on Americans' opinions on background checks."

These people are so full of shit. If guns are so awful why would you have to try to play these games in order to show it? They literally achieved the opposite of what they set out to do lol. I find that hilarious because the anti gun people come off looking bad.

Yea and Jaden tried that thing "you didn't read it."

Clearly he didn't.

Guns just saved a innocent man from a large basketball player who was going to cave his head in, then go murder his gf.

To be fair I never took Katie Couric serious as a journalist, but this is a new low.

They shouldn't of even commented on this because the excuse given for why this happened is just asinine.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Katie Couric has reversed course and taken responsibility for an edit that misrepresents the response of gun rights activists to a question she poses in a new documentary.

The segment in "Under the Gun" shows nearly 10 seconds of silence after Couric asks the activists how felons or terrorists could be prevented from purchasing a gun without background checks.

Audio of the exchange leaked last week reveals an almost immediate response to the question.

Couric writes in a message on the film's website that she regrets not raising her initial concerns about the segment "more vigorously."

Director Stephanie Soechtig told The Washington Post last week that the pause was so viewers could consider the question.

Couric said then that she supported Soechtig's statement and was "very proud of the film."

Someone slap the Stephanie chick please. Her excuse was asinine.

Also WHY is Couric proud of a dishonest film? What is there to be proud of, your deceit? How the hell did this woman ever land a career in journalism?

Is everyone always going to just try to save face in the country? You f*cked up, your director f*cked up. You don't need to play nice when it isn't deserved. Stop making sure you point out how "proud" you are. This is a situation where it would not be wrong to slam the director.

Why do I get the feeling Katie never actually raised any real concern over this?

She currently is emplyed by Yahoo and will prolly be let go. Looks like Jaden can't read.

Nothing was flawed with the OP except they didn't understand it.
