Darth Bane runs the Nexus gauntlet
Premise: Darth Bane's power has been drained from dying in every fight he engages in. In order to become as powerful as he once was (since he always is amped), he is traveling to as many Darkside worlds so he can be as powerful as Darth Maul. What nexus would make Bane close to Maul's level, and if he was amped could he replicate his unamped showings of killing guards and breaking tents?
