Injustice 2

**** SonicFox for maining someone like Deadshot. lol I could at least respect his skill when it came to using Sonya in MK9 and such, but not here.

Shame on me for giving Deadshot the benefit of a doubt when it came to gameplay, I suppose. **** him being in this game in general though which never would've happened if not for Suicide Squad. And like in the live action SS, he's a minor tool in the Inj 2 story but for Grodd instead of Waller. At least Deathstroke had more of a presence in the first one as well as a memorable chapter. Him calling Regime Diana Superman's rebound girl... 😂

Yup **** Flloyd.....wonder if he ever gets a Will Smith skin...😛

Btw been watching quite a few gameplay vids Scarecrow is kinda growin on me still my main will be Darkseid close 2nd is Atros.

Dr Fate seems really good as well.

To be fair I like Deadshot as a character but he hasn't been as appealing lately when he's just a lackey who doesn't gain leverage. He was one of my favorites when he was more unhinged like in the animated SS movie where he took shots against Waller and gave the Joker a run for his money, but we didn't get that kind of Deadshot here, so screw him being in this in addition to the mess he is gameplay-wise. As for a Will Smith skin, lol. Maybe, but don't care either way.

Oh sweet. Etrigan should've been in the first game if you ask me, over like Scorpion, but never too late to have him.

Ya agreed. This is actually my biggest complaint with the story mode: whilst I liked the game's plot, the first one was better IMO, as it really stuck to its guns of making Superman the big bad instead of the normal comic book "good guys fight then team up to fight bigger threat".

Injustice 2, however,

put characters like Deadshot, Swamp Thing, and Doctor Fate into minor roles where they served as the lackey of a villain (Deadshot to Grodd) if not just lackey to the plot itself for the playable characters to punch (Swamp Thing and, especially Doctor Fate). Too many characters were just there to get beat up.

Issue #2:

It was cool that the plot was more of a 5-act affair than 3-act - the real finale was after beating Brainiac, with Superman and Batman again going at it - but I'm disappointed that Netherrealm went either with the Batman route of "No, you can't kill anyone! Not even an artificial intelligence that isn't really living that nearly destroyed the planet and has murdered billions upon billions of people!" or the Superman route of "The only way I can stop said evil AI is by killing him. Oh, but then I'll mentally enslave Batman and take over the world as its dictator again." Bats and Supes should have saved the cities then come to the group realization that, this time, Superman has to kill Brainiac. It has to happen, it's justified as he is the only one powerful enough to do it, so just do it. I'm sick of superhero stories, especially DC, acting holier-than-thou with an impossible standard of not being able to justifiably kill evil characters and expecting the audience to think they're still heroes by letting mass murderers and genocidal fiends live over-and-over again.

Issue #3:

WB needs to let Netherrealm commit, and have a story where the aforementioned characters like Doctor Fate or Swamp Thing take a central protagonist role. How cool would it have been if it turns out the final chapter is Doctor Fate or Swamp Thing going toe-to-toe with Brainiac? You get two boss fights against Brainiac with Supes and Bats, then you step into Fate's shoes or Swamp Thing's shoes to fight a super final boss Brainiac, and after one of the two sacrifices himself to stop Brainiac. Maybe Injustice 3 can do that; I'm ready to put a Martian Manhunter, The Flash, Swamp Thing, Fate, The Question, etc., in the driver's seat and see what happens. Rant over.

And as cool as Darkseid looks here, they should've just saved him for the 3rd installment where he'd be main villain, but making that pre-order money out of someone of his status was too tempting I guess.

He'll just be in the deluxe edition when it comes out next year anyway.

Looking much too far ahead, without using Darkseid in Injustice 3, who should be the big bad? It'd be cool for a WB DC property not to use either Brainiac or Darkseid as the main villain.

Maybe with the multiple universes theme of the first Injustice, take it to a higher degree with Superboy Prime or Anti-Monitor?

Trigon maybe. We don't know what really happens to Raven after Injustice 1 and could've went back to the dimension her father's in to prep for a demon invasion of Earth like her arcade ending implied.

I could forgive Injustice 2's catastrophe of cuts long run if it came to that with her and others returning because of Trigon. Scorpion's arcade ending shit all over Trigon though, not that I count on that being a factor since he was just a guest character, but still. lmao

Maybe have Slade temporarily work for Trigon too and then have a bone to pick with him after when he gets betrayed like in the Teen Titans cartoon... vin Say what you will about the show itself and its inconsistent tone, but that for me was one of the best arcs.

Trigon would be an interesting take.

I'm glad Brainiac was the big bad this time, but that's usually what DC-adapted media sticks to when it comes to TV, video games, and (with the DCEU) movies: Brainiac and for sure Darkseid. Ready for a change-up.

Red Hood would be the first DLC to come out soon... Badabada Bat-waaaank!

At least it'll be cool for his custom gear to make him into the Arkham Knight which was a nice design itself, but beyond that, meh. Another gun dude.

Netherrealm could do their take on a Marvel vs Capcom-esque massive boss fight by using Anti-Monitor. Take the game engine tweaks they did with Injustice's STAR Labs mode and put them into a final boss fight.

Really just anyone besides the same 'ol two big bads of Darkseid and Brainiac.

*Adding more to this: why always have it be Superman or Batman that takes down the big bad? Why not pull something original and have someone like Ares or Martian Manhunter be the hero that is the only match in the end for a dude like Supes in number one or Brainiac in 2?
