It would depend on the character's power set or power rating. Let's say that a character had the ability to remain undetected, while also being able to time travel, they could change certain events by alerting key characters to danger, and therefore alter a timeline. This does not mean that they are universe busters, but instead that they have certain powers at their disposal to alter events.
Originally posted by ghostmanIf you alter a timeline then you destroy it and create a new one. There is only one timeline per universe. It is complete and already written.
nooo, i dont mean altering a timeline through time travel, like just downright altering it with whatever raw power they have DIRECTLY or destroying it.
Originally posted by AstnerNot quite since altering a universe (destroying a planet) does not mean altering a timeline. A timeline is already set in stone. So a universe and timeline are not the same.
A time-line is the most rudimentary form of a universe, it has a set past and a set future.
