but WHO had the laser? You are either cowering from the answer because you are smarter than most people here give you credit for or you don't know. so which is it, cowardice or ignorance?

Zod was the Kyrptonian military leader and he got pummeled by a scientist and a farm boy that had never thrown a punch in his life. I imagine he would find a way to lose yet again against a relentless amount of Chitauri with weapons.

The Chitauri could not even take out **** Widow,FairyEye or Captain Messiah.

They have no chance against team Zod. Zod could kill hundreds at a time with heat vision blasts.

so cowardice then. i gave no objection that the laser hurt supes, so there is really no point in bringing it up again. I also will not object to the chitauri having lasers. i just want to know who had the laser in the superman movie.
