Chosen undead vs Lydia of Whiterun

While exploring some crypt with her Thane, Lydia runs into a powerful opponent. The dragonborn tell her to handle it while he goes through the chests and bodies and such.

Can the housecarl claim victory or is this a burden she cannot carry?

Lydia gets destroyed.

The Chosen Undead has superhuman reflexes and amazing strength the likes of Lydia couldn't replicate.

Lydia has slain dragons, used giant clubs, and survived reentry after being launched into space, all while carring stuff thats too heavy for the dragonborn.

Hell, there are other in people the DragonBorn can take with him instead of Lydia.
