Best Game of Thrones e09

As we know, save for one season, Game of Thrones tends to save big moments for the ninth episode; feel free to add something important from the episode that i left out.

s01e09:

- The Stark vs. Lannister battle
- Jaime is captured
- The House Stark/House Frey alliance and merger agreement
- Ned's death

s02e09:

- Stannis' blackwater attack
- Tyrion's wildfire plan
- The Hound leaves the Kingsguard
- Tyrion gets his scar
- Tywin defeats Stannis

s03e09:

- Jorah, Daario and Greyworm attack Yunkai
- Bran wargs into Hodor
- Osha takes Rickon to the Umbers
- Red Wedding

s04e09:

- Mance's attack on the wall
- Olly kills Ygritte
- Jon leaves to meet Mance

s05e09:

- Ramsay invades Stannis' camp
- Shireen is sacrificed
- Dany rides Drogon for the first time

s06e09:

- Dany returns to Mareen and kills 2/3 masters as a warning
- All three dragons are (apparently) obedient to Dany
- The Harpy's are killed
- Dany makes an alliance with Yara and Theon
- Rickon is killed by Ramsay because he doesn't know how to zig-zag
- Battle of the Bastards
- Little Finger and the Vale save Jon's army
- Tormund kills Smalljon Umber
- Wun Wun dies
- Jon defeats Ramsay
- Starks reclaim Winterfell
- Sansa kills Ramsay with his own dogs

Season 6 is my favorite. Though I am still riding the high, so that may change soon. Season 4 is probably my second favorite right now.

Season 5's episode 9 was the only one I disliked.

season 5's episode 9 was episode 8, if that makes sense.

S4 is the standard for spectacle. Good as it was, I think recency bias is causing S6 to be ranked a bit higher by some than it should be. Book readers may have known the Red Wedding was coming. But there's still not a single moment in the show that approaches it for emotional impact. But comparing that to a large-scale battle is apples and oranges.

Yeah, hardhome was epic. And the red wedding was amazing, I was in such disbelief when I first watched it. Except the rest of the episode wasn't anything to write home about.

red wedding is the only time watching tv that i was emotionally disturbed. I wasn't ready to see a pregnant woman get repeatedly stabbed in the stomach.
