Darth Vader vs. Shimrra

Shimrra's performance over Luke involved the latter fighting through a virtual army of the toughest warriors in the galaxy en-rout to facing him, so it's pretty much safe to say Skywalker wasn't 100% against the Supreme Overlord.

Shimrra, for sure. Vader's never faced a Vong before, let alone one who could be considered as frightening of a foe as Palpatine. Shimrra's already the better warrior, has various articles of equipment that Vader has no response to, and a nigh-immunity to Vader's Force-based attacks. It may be a close fight, but it's a decided one IMO.

It's tough to reconcile these non-Force sensitives competing with the higher end fighting speed feats.

Vader rapes, this is a joke.

Most are hyperbole. Muggles react to and compete with Jedi all of the time, and Vong are biologically monsters among muggles. And Shimrra is a monster among Vong, who can go toe to toe with Luke Skywalker ay what was arguably his physical peak.

Some are difficult to interpret that way. Bane catching all the rain drops in a storm wouldn't work well as hyperbole, for example.

No, that could be seen as hyperbole. But Bane's is too specific, and Bane is weak, so Luke must be much faster.

There's also Anakin outpacing sub light speed missiles...
